Nebraska residents paid $7,172 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $324 more than the $6,848 charged for 2017-18.
Non-residents paid 75.7 percent more than residents this year, or $12,602. Their price tag grew 5.1 percent from $11,986 in 2017-18.
About 85 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Nebraska residents. About 14 percent are residents of other states and 1 percent are citizens of other countries.
Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 543 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.7 million and 398 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.3 million.
Including all undergraduates (3,633), 2,111 students used grants or scholarships totaling $12.9 million, and 1,510 students took out $8.7 million in federal student loans.
