Casey Kempton has been chosen as the new leader of Nationwide's personal lines property business, according to an announcement made by Mark Berven, Nationwide P&C President and Chief Operating Officer. Kempton's appointment comes as she brings a strong track record of success in both personal lines and commercial lines.

Berven highlighted Kempton's exceptional qualifications, stating, "Casey stood out in particular thanks to her strong track record of performance excellence, deep experience in using data insights and technology to fuel growth and innovation, and her dedication to developing future-ready talent."

Kempton joins Nationwide from Chubb, where she served as the executive vice president, digital business officer, responsible for emerging small business digital acquisition channels. Her role included overseeing direct-to-consumer affinity partnerships, eBrokers, and agent-carrier connectivity. Prior to Chubb, Kempton held leadership positions at The Hartford, where she led the personal lines agency channel and was accountable for field sales performance, distribution strategy, marketing, and product portfolio management. She also worked at the ACE Group, where she was responsible for global personal and commercial lines and led operations and information technology for the Latin America region. Kempton's early career included working on P&C strategic initiatives at The Hartford. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.

Expressing her enthusiasm about joining Nationwide, Kempton said, "It's a dynamic time for the P&C industry, and I'm looking forward to working with an exceptional team to lead this respected personal lines organization into its next 100 years."

Kempton will assume her new role in mid-February 2024.
